About Advanced HTML For Beginners
I could keep this page very shortand just point you to our member directory, in a nutshell it is the members that have made AHFB2000.com what it is today.
AHFB2000.com got its start due to a pretty bad back injury which left me with just a little too much time on my hands. Looking for a way to help pass the boredom, I began to build a "hobby" page containing all the information I had learned. To this day I believe it was the ugliest website ever hosted on Geocities! Within weeks I began to get emails from folks such as Saint Judes Hospital (founded by Actor Danny Kaye), as well as the Ministry of Defense in the UK, all asking for help with websites or intranets.
Wasn't the horrible looking website a clue that I was just learning? After the laughing had subsided I came to the realization, that Advanced HTML For Beginners could turn into more than just hobby, or a way to pass some time, it was time to make it happen.
Over the next couple of years, AHFB went through several face lifts. One thing that has remained a constant is that it has always been the friendliest website on the internet to learn or to get one on one help, for both beginner or professional webmasters. Eventually I went ahead with the domain name and webhosting purchases. It was at this time when AHFB found the true meaning of growth, though at the time I thought I was growing well with the free hosting and long domain names, little did I know how bad I held myself back by trying to save twenty bucks.
Today, thanks to our wonderful members who give so freely of their time and knowledge, we see a little over a million visitors a year. Our members have helped kids get cartoon sites up and running and professionials looking to increase ROI from their websites. To keep our visitors coming back we have added everything from php scripts, domain names, a web hosting directory and much more. We offer support for virtually any webmaster topic you can think of, and have members which are pros with every programming language.
At AHFB we respect webmasters, we have never given away or sold a members email or any other information. We do not bombard our users with popups, and all advertisers must pass the tough scrutiny of ME, so you can be sure that the advertisers you see are worthy of your patronage.
What do we ask in return? Very simple, if a member gives you the help you request, say thanks. Come back and offer your assistance to somebody else, I promise there will be questions you can answer! And of course, buy from those that support AHFB!
