Thumbs down fixing the width of <td>

i have a grid in a <td> of the table
i have already asigned the width to <td> in pixels.
another <td>in another row has the logo
when i run the page as the no of columns in the grid is more it expands the table and i need to scroll the page for viweing the rest part.
i want to fix the width in such a way that whtever the data i dont need to scroll the page , just need to scroll the grid scroll bar.

    how do i achieve it
i even tried using css but was not helpful

Express width in percentage rather than pixels. That way, your page elements expand or shrink with the browser resolution.

Without seeing the code, I can't be certain, but from what it sounds like, you want the td that has the grid in it to always be wide enough for the grid. If I am correct, you need to remove the width from the td. Or you can try setting the CSS width to auto:
    Code:
    <td style="width: auto"></td>
