Looking for suggestions Please

Hi All,
I have a website up at http://leevan3.tripod.com
.
I am pretty well contented with all of the pages except the first page. I would like to avoid the need for scrolling if possible. I am working on two alternatives but would welcome any suggestions.
One thing, while I am able to work with frames I would rather avoid them.

Hello.

You have a lot of stuff on there, so scrolling is pretty much unavoidable.

You could try your links on the side, in a side-bar like this page. Or you could grab a dynamic menu from www.dynamicdrive.com . You could reduce your font. You could have your sponsors after your links

Hope that helps.

Thanks for taking the time out Dean.
One of the alternatives I am working on is with a sidebar.
I will have a look at the link re dynamicdrive later tonight.
Thanks again

Please do not post in all bold, not only is it distracting, but when you have something important to say it would only get lost in the message.

Then I should be a bit smarter

My mamma always told me the dummys learn from there mistakes, the smart people learn from others mistakes.

I think you've done a nice job.

One thing that I noticed was the colored fonts scrolling over the background on the John Wayne page cause eye strain for me. The black font was ok.
