    Making vertical scrollbar

    Hey,

    im trying to replace the normal vertical scroll bar with one in my code.
    Id like my page to have a static hight (100% of the page, and not beyond), and if the content doesnt fit the page a scroll bar should appear in the center of the page only scrolling up and down in the main window of the site

    it-doktor.org - Id like the center of the site to be scrollable and not the intire site.

    I have seen it before, but i have no idea how to make it, maybe you can help.

    ty in advance c",)

    Re: Making vertical scrollbar

    You need to place the contents of that particular TD element in a div with a setting of overflow to auto with a fixed height.

    With that said, try to add highlighted:
    Code:
    <td width="750px" class="pages" style="font-family: Verdana;
    font-size: 11px;border-left:1px solid black;border-right:1px solid black;">
    <div style="height:400px;overflow:auto;">
    <h2>Velkommen til IT-Doktor</h2>
    ...and close it:
    Code:
    </table>
    </div></td>
    <td width="25%" align="center">
    <img src="pics/harddisk1.jpg" alt="" height="150px"
    /><br />
    To ensure that there will be no scrollbars on the main page, you can add overflow:hidden; on the html/body element:
    Code:
    html,body{overflow:hidden;}
    Additionally, though this is not your "main" problem (as per time being), you should avoid the use of tables for designs.

    You might also want to rectify your deprecated attributes:

    Hope that helps.
