    Re: Scrolling Blog Help!!

    I don't really know much about artist pages,
    but i try to help when i can.

    Do you know where you have seen this before?
    Like what's the artist's url that you've seen this on their page?
    If so I can take the coding straight from their profile and give it to you.

    If you could find the url of where you have seen this before I can get the coding within a couple minutes so it'd be best if you did have it, but I understand you probably don't. Which in that case I'm not entirely sure what you're asking.
    Are you talking about where it lists their blogs on their profile its in a white scroll box?
    Or are you talking about the blog's actual page has the blog in a scroll box?

    I'm not on much anymore,
    so please be patient myspace coders!

    Re: Scrolling Blog Help!!

    Well that's not actually her blogs showing,
    its a code she uses and it goes directly into your profile.
    You will have to edit the profile
    each time you want to add a new entry,
    and cannot add a blog and expect it to
    show up in the box because that is not possible.

    =========================================================

    But to do what she has,
    you'll first have to hide your blogs by using this code:

    <style>
    .notes {hides blog}
    .latestBlogEntry {visibility:hidden !important;}
    </style>

    ==========================================================
    Then Use this for a scrolling box:

    <div style="padding: 4px; overflow: auto; width: 360px; height: 160px; font-size:90%;">
    <center>

    Insert Your Content Here

    </center>
    </div>

    ==========================================================
    That Coding above will create the box for you,
    but to put a entry in like she has you'll need the following info:

    <big><b>Date HERE</big></b>
    <br />
    Then write whatever you want here for your blog.

    ==========================================================

    Then to space the entries apart however far you want,
    use this code, each one adds a single line:

    <br />

    For example, to add three lines it would look like this:

    <br /><br /><br />

    ==========================================================
    For a full example and break down of coding:

    <div style="padding: 4px; overflow: auto; width: 360px; height: 160px; font-size:90%;">
    <center>

    <big><b>January 3, 2009</big></b>
    <br />
    This is my blog.....blah blah blah.......

    <br /><br /><br />

    <big><b>January 4, 2009</big></b>
    <br />
    This is my blog number two.....blah blah blah times two.......

    </center>
    </div>

    ===========================================================
    Now here's what the colors mean in the full example:

    Blue = do not change these codes

    Red = This makes the text center

    Orange = This is the amount of space inbetween the text and the border of the box

    Obviously the "width:" and "height:"
    are just what they say they are,
    change to whatever width and height you'd like,
    numbers given were taken from example's profile.

    Yellow = the font size, which makes the rest of the words other than the dates
    a little bit smaller like the examples page,
    if you do not want the text to look like it is on the example's profile, then delete that.

    Purple or Dark Orchid = This makes the box have a scrollbar
    so that people can scroll to see
    any text that goes beyond the height of the box.

    Lime Green = Changes the dates to bold and slightly bigger than the rest of the text.

    Magenta or Light Pink = I would leave this in the coding, it brings the blog entry down to the next line so it's not on the same line as the date.

    Light Blue or Cyan = The Three line spacing I used as an example, this will put three spaces inbetween entries.

    =================================
