    About forms and how to send them to an email

    Help, my forms will not work!
    I just want a submit-button to send an email to me, but it opens my emailprogram (outlook) instead. What can i do?
    I would like a step-by-step method in explaining, im not that good at PHP, perl etc.

    It's (probably) because you are using the mailto pseudo-protocol which (by default) opens an email client.

    It would be a lot better to use servers-side on this.

    You might find these links useful:

    http://webcheatsheet.com/php/send_em...attachment.php

    Hope that helps.

    ...Oh, and apparently, you need to learn a bit of server-side. Or, you can use Aweber, or some free scripts that would do the favor for you.

    There are plenty of scripts out there that will do what you need. You do not necessarily need to learn how to write server-side scripts, but you will need to know how to follow directions.

    rangana has posted quite a few good links to get you started.

    Thankyou rangana. That was usefull.
    But I still have a question: In the ACTION-attribute i just have to write the name of the PHP-site i have made. And then itīs the PHP-site which sends the email. Is that true? (other people may also answer)

    Correct. Your form call will look similar to the following code (it may have more fields, but this is what is needed for our purposes):

    Code:
    <form method=post action=cart.php>
