    Form Question

    Hello Again,

    This time a form Question,
    I have a cgi form, basic one..
    I wanted to know how can I make the redirect url once the info has been submitted go to the page i want it to go but also give a
    seperate pop up to a different site

    if example this is what i have now:

    <input type="hidden" name="redirect" value="http://www.blabla.com">

    can i make like a second value2 and could i just put a target=_"blank" behind the url in there to make it a pop up then then?

    Thanks

    Regards,
    Sybilla

    Sounds like you could do what you want by placing the pop-up coding (to yet another popup.htm page) within the index.html file associated with the http://www.blabla.com page - making the process less complicated and more controallable through that file.

    Thanks, but
    thats the thing really, it shouldnt pop up with opening the existing page yet but only when the submission form is submitted , cause it may be various forms to various sites the pop ups must go to
    but can you also just ad the target=_blank to the redirecting url, i mean should that work, cause i tried to just put it at the end and that didnt work either...
    Would you know where to just place the target then or isnt it possible at all?

    hope that made sence lol

    Thanks again

    The difficult way would be amend the cgi script itself to popup a new window.

    The easy answer is to have (in your original form)

    <form method="post" action="whatever.cgi" target="_blank>

    this will popup a new window with the form submission in it. Maybe that will do.

    Yes, the TARGET=... should be associated with the ACTION=... attribute - that works somewhere for me - can't remember where right now.
