Question I'm new to ALL of this and Have No Clue

Hello everyone. Is there some place I can go to find what things like vB and PHP and all this other stuff means? I am the original pc dummie! I'm lucky I can use my email and icq. I've just registered for webspace at spaceports and have an idea of what I want on it but have no idea how to put it there. Where ever I go to learn, it's gonna have to be EASY. I'm lucky if I remember my name everyday. There's just a lot going on in life for me just now with a disabled husband with Alzheimer's. It was suggested to me to create a website about my suggies, for relaxation and distraction needs. (That's Sugar Gliders for those of you who've never seen them on Animal Planet channel or at a zoo). Anyway, any help will be lovingly received!

Hello mrsreimer. Welcome to the forums!

When you first start web-design, the amount of acronymns that get thrown at you is down-right scary. The bare truth, tho, is that the only thing you really need to be able to make a website is HTML. To the left of this page is some tutorials to introduce you gently into HTML. All the other stuff can be thrown out of the window if all you want to do is make a webpage.

However, for reference, here is a link to a database of computer acronyms -

    Welcome to the forums.

VB and PHP are terms thrown around by very experienced programmers and webmasters. You don't need either of them to begin creating your web site.
