    FriendGreetings.com

It sounds like this website has one hell of a scam going on.

What happens is that a person gets an email stating they have received an electronic greeting card.

Subject: %recipient% you have an E-Card from %sender%.
    Message:
    Greetings!

%sender% has sent you an E-Card -- a virtual postcard from FriendGreetings.com. You
can pickup your E-Card at the FriendGreetings.com by clicking on the link
    below.

    http:/ /www.friendgreetings.com/pickup/pickup.aspx?<extra content removed>

    Message:
    ------------------------------------------------------------
    %recipient%
I sent you a greeting card. Please pick it up.
    %sender%
    ------------------------------------------------------------
When the user clicks the link to retrieve the greeting card they are asked to download software to actually view the card. You are familiar with the EULA or "End User License Agreement" that comes with software installation packages, lets take a look at the EULA of friendgreetings.com

OUCH! If you accept the agreement, the software is installed, and it sends the previously described e-card to all contacts in the Microsoft Outlook contacts list.

I cannot believe the depths some companies will go to. So glad I don't use MS Outlook. Or anything MS apart from windows, tbh.

So, what's a good alternative to Outlook Express (itself the best alternative to the old Netscape Mail system I've ever found)?

If you like the professionalism of Outlook but dont need all the calender, reminders etc then I recommend the email client I use, PMMAil -

I used to use PocoMail, its also very good -

Thanks, I've downloaded it and will check it out. Don't know what the calender, reminders etc are all about, so I obviously don't need them. (Would love to find a service that sends me an email I can compose and update over time on a specific date -- that would be a real money making service to everyone in the world - hint, hint.)

I use eudora pro, eudora lite is free but you have to contend with ads.

    I like it and won't change...ever!
