    Traffic monitoring

    Hi guys

I was wondering if traffic monitoring software manages all activity.

The example I have in question is if somebody sees my link but does not click on it. Instead they right click and save the target to their harddrive and view offline. Would that register as traffic even though they didnt click the link and visit the site?

I presume its recorded somehow given the request is made right??

    Thanks
    Niall

    Re: Traffic monitoring

When you right-click a link and save the target to your hard drive, you are only saving the link, not the page itself. So no, that would not count as traffic. However, once you click on that link, if you are truly offline (and your cache is cleared), you will get an error and the page will not be displayed. In order to view a page offline, you must go to the page and then save the page. You cannot download it without actually visiting the page.
