    background mp3

    id like to know what is the code for putting mp3 into a web.
    Like, when you enter a site, a music will start playing. Not midis but mp3.

    an mp3 is played the same way as any other sound file, embed it.

    However, chances are the mp3 is someones copyrighted work? If so, you playing it on your webpage counts as distribution and is illegal.

    Secondly, an mp3 file is probably going to be a lot bigger than a midi file. My mp3's average 5 megs each. On a 56k modem, this will take upwards of 25 minutes to load.

    would you wait 25 minutes on a webpage?
