How has your traffic been over the last 3 weeks or so? You probably know already that the Dance for May was/is very unusual.
Google is in the middle of some big changes so making any big website changes in hopes of better rankings should be put off for now. This does not mean nobody should work on thier sites, just means to continue to follow the basics of ethical optimization and when Google settles you should be ahead of the game. Whenever Google gets to a point that I can get a grip on what exactly it is that they are doing, we can get back to work

welcome to the forums
did you get that from www-fi? It is #5 on www right now.
unfortunately for Dean it is ahfb and not somepeople
I have been meaning to ask if you want a forum feed for your site. I am talking about something similar to what ios on the front page and on many of the sub pages here. It can be narrowed down to just the CSS threads, designed to fit your site, it can be as wide as you want, include any info you want ie smileys date views posts...
Full disclosure, ahfb would benefit greatly but my motives are really to help you the only thing is that your page must be dubbed .php and not .html .
The biggest benefit to you would be that the constantly updating page would get freshbot coming around and at times updating your ranking on a daily basis instead of monthly or whatever it is now. Of course I would get the benefit of the links. I would need to detail all the pros and cons and of course the explanations so I will wait until I find out if changing your prefix on the pages that would get the feed would be worth it to you.

In the interests of seo, I have setup a .htaccess file to make my links more 'bot friendly'.
The effect is, eg -
Hopefully, it might help.
for interest, the .htaccess file looks like -
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^syntax index.php?page=Syntax RewriteRule ^introduction index.php?page=Introduction RewriteRule ^rules index.php?page=rules RewriteRule ^tricks index.php?page=tricks RewriteRule ^intermediate index.php?page=intermediateintroduction RewriteRule ^cascade index.php?page=cascade RewriteRule ^zindex index.php?page=zindex RewriteRule ^shortcuts index.php?page=shortcuts RewriteRule ^resources index.php?page=resources RewriteRule ^dynamic index.php?page=dynamic RewriteRule ^author index.php?page=author </IfModule>

Oh, and Dave, still planning on the forum feed thing? actually, better wait for new version.

You should see a big difference with the mod_rewrite.
I will work on the feed as soon as I have the forum upgrade complete. When will the forum upgrade be done? Right now it looks like 6 years
