How to rename files
First off, I am a total HTML newbie. I have a simple web page which is used to post a form to a specialized server. The server processes data from the form and returns the data. By default, the web browser saves the data based on the path name of application we are posting to. I would like to be able to control the name of the file either before the browser saves it or after it is saved. I would like to use details entered on the form for the original post to provide a more unique file name. I have seen that there are ways of using JavaScript and ActiveX to move files. I would prefer something which is browser, and possibly OS agnostic. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Bob
