    framset scrollbar problem???

    I have built a frameset for a site I am working on and the scrolling attribute is set to scrolling = "NO" . All works fine on a pc, but on some pages on a mac the scrollbars kick in and ruin my layout.

    I am using a scrolling layer which may be causing problems, however I thought if you set scrolling to "no" the scroll bars would not appear.

    I have walked many roads but none have brought enlightenment yet, so I'm calling for help.

    If you know an answer to this then I am in your debt.

    many thanks,

    Have you got a link or some code we can look at? Makes it easier to see the problem. Ta.

    Hi again.

    Your generator (msword? frontpage?) is using extremely complicated css2 and JavaScript to achieve what is usually a very simple thing.

    Chances are the mac version of the browser (you didnt say which, I presume IE <6) is not supporting this properly.

    Also, the function -

    verifyCompatibleBrowser()

    May not be picking up the version that the mac is transmitting. Therefore it does not try any of its trickery.

    Is the JavaScript from your HTML editor, or from somewhere else?

    Thanks for your continual postings to this,

    The javascript is from a dreamweaver extension.

    If you know a simpler route, I would greatly appreciate some guidance......

    I will add that the scripts are all working though, it's just that scrollbar thats getting me, but that may be a bounce off the scrolling layer.

    Thanks again,
