    Unhappy help with Form

    What I Am Doing: i'm trying to create an online form that people can fill out.
    The Problem: i would like to send the full contents of the forms to something like an email address. however, i know that method uses "POST" and i know it doesn't come out nicely. however, i was wondering if there was any chance of receiving the information in the exact same format as the Form site. u know, like how in hotmail, they can actually link url sites into the txt area. i was wondering if i could submit the forms...complete with the questions and the inputed text (from users) in that way.
    thank u for ur time.

    Well I'm not sure about that, but if your host provides perl and cgi, then try getting Matt's Formmail from scriptarchive.com . Its really very nice and quite simple to set up. And with this, it doesn't open up into the visitors mail program.

    I'll see if I can come up with an html script to fit your need though.

    Ok Hope this shows up properly:

    Code begin
    ------------------------

    <form method="post" enctype="text/plain" action='mailto:youremail@email.com'>
    <input type="hidden" name="Subject" value="Question/Comment">
    <center>
    <table width="75%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="4">
    <tr>
    <td align="right">
    <strong>Your Name:</strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
    </td>
    <td >
    &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<input type="text" name="Name" size="53">
    </td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td align="right">
    <strong>Your E-Mail Address:</strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
    </td>
    <td >
    &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<input type="text" name="Email" size="53">
    </td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td align="right">
    <strong>Your Message:</strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
    </td>
    <td >
    &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<textarea name="variable name" rows="5" cols="40"></textarea>
    </td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td align="right">
    <input type="submit" value="Submit">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
    </td>
    <td align="left">
    &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<input type="reset" value="Reset">
    </td>
    </tr>
    </table>
    </center>
    </form>

    ------------------------
    Code end

    With this, you'll definatly get all of the information...the e-mail you recieve is a bit tacky but theyre's nothing you can do about that. Also, if the visitor spends time and effort into making the message look good, I don't think it will turn out right when you recieve it. Also, I don't think that html formatting inside the text box will show up when they e-mail to you...I also formatted this a bit...made it look nice.

    Hope that helps
