    hello box

    Hi, i'm totally new here and i'm basically new to HTML 2, i'm sorry if i posted in the wrong place. anyway my question is, how do i make a dialogue box pop up whenever someone opens my site? i'm talking about the dialogue boxe that usually says "hello" or something that welcomes people to my site. i don't know of any sites that have an example but i hope someone knows what i'm talking about.

    You mean like the one at http://Tests.Gumint.com ??

    Look at the source code therein. It requires the onload command in the <BODY ...> tag. The associated .js file function is:

    var neWin
    function makeNeWin() {

    Hi I'm new at HTML. I also want to make a dialogue box pop up and i tried what Dave and Benzden said but I just can't figure out where to put it. What is a head tag? Should i combine what Benzden and Dave said?
