    Question frames

    Hi,
    I am in the process of creating a website, but I am having some trouble with adding frames to the page. I've been following the html codes or at least I thought I did, but nothing showed up on the page. I was wanted to have a frame at the top, a frame on the left, and a frame on the right. The
    address of my site is http://www.geocities.com/ericag84/index.html Thank you.

    Erica, welcome to the forums.

    first problem would be your body tags. There should be no body tags on your frameset page this page is solely for the purpose of defining your frames or text for no frames.

    second I see 4 instances of html and head tags, remove all but your outter most set.

    This may not solve the problem, but it will clean up the code making it a little easier to see what direction to take next.

    Question

    Hi Dave,
    One more thing, how would I get rid of the scrolling on the top frame if I just wanted to have a picture there? Thanks.

    find this part of your code:

    <FRAME SRC="up.html" NAME="up">

    replace with:
    <FRAME SRC="up.html" NAME="up" scrolling="no">

    I still see various tags that should be removed.

    <html><head><title>Welcome to Erica's Site!</title>add a closing head tag
