    Image slideshow

    Hi...Here's my website : www.monarchmedical.com

If you right click and then click on view source you'll see the code.

The issue is that it takes a really long time for the 1st image to change to the 2nd image.

Is my javascript correct? Did I preload the images correctly?

    Thanks,
    Ninel

    Hiya. Welcome to the forums.

Your second image (images/GE_HiSpeed19.bmp) is 3.6 megabytes in size. This takes a ntoicable amount of time to download no matter what the connection.

In theory, no webpage should be more than 50k including images. So I would fix that image if I were you.

I just changed it to a 123kb image and it made a huge difference.

    Thanks for your help.

Go get http://irfanview.com and convert it to 72dpi .jpg - I'll bet you can get it down to less than 36k if it's not a full screen image.
