Restricting access to Web pages
Is there a way to link a password to specific web pages on a web site. The objective is to restrict access to specified web pages for "unauthorised" users. In order to do this, my idea is to provide "authorised" people with "a password" so they can access that section (this page?) of my web site. Is this possible? How do you do this ?

Easiest & most secure method (if your host supports it) is using a .htaccess file. A properly configured one will protect an entire web directory.
Second method is to use a server-side script to password it off. find lots at www.hotscripts.com
For a tutorial on .htaccess, try -
