What's the best forum to use?
Hey all,
I'm looking to instal a new forum (free of course) and was curious what all you suggest as the latest and greatest. I have access to a MYSQL database, full php support, and most of the other bells and whistles.
Im looking for fast, reliable, stable, easy to setup and maintain, and quick! What does everyone suggest? And could you provide a link as to where to download it from?
Thanks!

Between the two (until phpbb 2.2 is released at least) its basically just down to preference really. Not much else in it.

I basically have the idea of what I need to do to install the phpbb forum. However, on the setup screen, it asks for "Database Server Hostname / DSN" and "Your Database Name."
I have a Mysql DB through my providor, but what exactly do I put for the server hostname? and what exactly for the database name? Do I need to make a new database? If so, how?
Just a bit new at this.
Thanks!

Hostname, 9 times outa ten, is localhost .
Database name is either the name you gave it when you set it up, or the name your host gave it when they set it up.
If you have phpMyAdmin, the database name is in there. If one of our members helps you, please click theicon to add to their reputation!
