auto-posting service search
I've been happily working on various websites using only HTML to build them. However, I'm leaving to serve my country in a few months. I'm turning over my favorite page http://www.geocities.com/sasausage to a friend in my absence. He doesn't know any HTML, so i'm looking for some type of service that would allow him, or either of the other two people involved in the page, to put in a password and enter a message that would be posted on the page from any computer without necessarily giving them access to the pages files. does anyone know of a service of this sort?

Yes, you need a Content Management System, or CMS for short.
Try www.hotscripts.com for various choices. However, one of the most popular is www.phpnuke.com , a very good cms indeed.

Thinking outside the box here, if all else fails, find out what these friends can do. Can they do graphics? Convert a .bmp to a .jpg or .gif file?
If so, and hot-linking is allowed from sites from which they can operate, they need just create a .bmp text file, convert it and upload it with the name that is referenced in the appropriate file to display at your site.
