    Joining list boxes

I have been learning php4 and html to make a simple web catalogue. Linking it to mysql was easy but

and am stuck on the following.

I have a list box with supplier names in it (from mysql).
When you click on any supplier in the listbox i want it to run another html file or php4 so that i can populate a second list box depending on what supplier was selected.

When you click on a list box i cannot get anything to happen.

Any html or php help would be helpfull

    hiya. Welcome to the forums.

two approaches - either load ALL the data into javascript arrays and have the choices in the first select box filter the second, or failing that (i dont like that one) use iframes (small ones) to load the select box depending on what is chosen. Again, a combination of JavaScript, querystrings and PHP will do this easily.

Your choice depends on whether you are coding for a standard browser (ie company intranet) or for the web. Good luck.

Thanks for that, I sort of know what to look for now.
