Help with a UBB
OK, I uploaded everything i needed for the UBB board into the correct places (im 98% sure)on my FTP client...but when I go to the site to costumize everything, I get a 404 error when I click the links. Here's my site so you can see what I mean: http://www.cgi-bin.spaceports.com/~ggellar/ubb/cp.html
I hope you guys know whats wrong, because I sure don't!

Welcome to The Help Desk Erica,
Take the www. out of it and it works fine.

Nope...it doesn't work when I do that. Go to the site again without www. and then click General Settings. The 404 error pops up...

How do I know whether they are right or not? Maybe you could get on ICQ and we could have a discussion about it?

I am trying not to open icq I have so many things open while I am rebuilding the site it will probably crash me.
If you can copy and paste the cplinks.html file here I will try to help you solve it, I am sure it is a simple solution.

By copy and paste the cplinks.html, do you mean the page address or...what...?

Nevermind, I already looked at the code. it was all fine there.
You should upload again, make sure you do it in ascii mode and not binary. Also be sure to set permissions according to the instructions this includes the public_html folder. One place that will differ on the instructions, whenever it says chmod to 777 use 755 instead. This is only because you are on a free server and they usually will not allow 777.
Let me know how it works out.
