Netscape troubles: video
Hi,
I am having trouble playing a *.wmv file in Netscape. I don't have any problem in I. Explorer. In IExplorer it seems to know where the WinMediaPlayer is. I've tried dropping various files into the Netscape Plugin folder, but I can hardly expect users on the other end to do that.
Give you folks give me any advice?
Thanks,
Drew

You've now run into a problem: Netscape vs Microsoft. The only thing you can hope to do and get it to work is to make your file extension more universal, aka an extension both Netscape and Microsoft will understand.

As pointed out .wmv is a windows media file, I am assuming netscape is just refusing to point to it. Other possibilities, you could make it an mpeg or a real media file.
