Post Media Player choices for visitors

How can I offer visitors to my site the choice of what media player (e.g. Real Player, Windows Media, Quicktime, et al) they wish to use when listening to or viewing a mp3 or mpeg? Like the site http://atomfilms.com? I would like them to be able to choice the connection speed and media player but not necessarily be able to save it on their hard drive if possible. Any help or ideas?

When you compile the movies, you can select what speed you want.

I think its Real Producer to compile real player movies. You select the speed you want it at.. and there you go!

    Welcome to the forums Keith,

If you read other messages in the "multimedia" forum you know I am not the hottest jalapeno in the patch on this subject.

I must go do a quick job this morning, but when I return if the question has not been answered yet, I will research this for you.

Dave and Zaire. Thank your very much. I think I have enough in my arsenal now to attack this thing. I'll keep you posted on how it is going and if I come across any handy tips I'll pass them along.

    Lightbulb

Just to add my two cents worth ( is american culture infecting the UK? ) then I would say you have two choices.

The site, Atomfile?, that you mentioned does this by having a different page for each application, then linking to each. Easy.

You can also use Javascript and ActiveX to detect what plug-ins a user has. If you want to go that advanced then email me, as it gets a bit too technical for a forum.

    Tata.
