carry value from one page to another???

I have a map that is divided into the counties in the state, say on map.html. Each county can be clicked on.

Say someone clicks on Hancock county on map.html.
How do I carry over the name Hancock to the next page.

In other words, how would one write a page you.html that might say:
"You live in X county." filling in the X with the county clicked on?

    Hiya,

This sort of thing is done using a server-side language . try http://www.php.net/ , http://www.asp.net/ . The language you can use depends heavily on what language your host supports.

Another way - if it is not too many counties - just cheat & create an HTML page for each county. If you are not familiar with PHP/ASP - this might be the easiest & quickest way for you.
