    cgi script/perl problem

    Hi,

    This is probably a really easy question, but I am baffled beyond belief,
    I am trying to do a very simple form (to start with) basically first name last name and email address, on submit a thank you page should come up
    however it doesn't I have a 403 forbidden error, I have searched the internet for advice on this matter and it keeps going on about CHMOD 755, I have set this on my scrpit in my cgi bin and also on the form itself, through leap ftp, I assume I am uploading it in ASCII format as at the bottom when it is loading that is what it says, I just don't know where to go from here, I have tried everything I can think of at least twice, so I assume now it is in the perl language (may be very wrong about that) Please can some one help me.
    I have access to a cgi bin through my provider but I do not know the location of the perl interpreter, but from what I have read it is the same 99% of the time I have tried it with local and without.
    The following is my cgi script, if that sheds any light on the matter.

    #!/usr/bin/perl
    read(STDIN,$temp,$ENV{'CONTENT_LENGTH'});
    @pairs=split(/&/,$temp);
    foreach $item(@pairs)
    {
    ($key,$content)=split(/=/,$item,2);
    $content=~tr/+/ /;
    $content=~s/%(..)/pack("c",hex($1))/ge;
    $fields{$key}=$content;
    }
    print "Content-type: text/html\n\n";
    print "<HTML>\n";
    print "<BODY BGCOLOR=#FFFFFF>\n";
    print "<CENTER>\n";
    print "THANK YOU<BR>\n";
    print "$fields{fname} $fields{lname}</BR>";
    print "I will write<BR>\n";
    print "you at<BR>\n";
    print "$fields{email}<BR>\n";
    print "</CENTER>\n";
    print "</BODY></HTML>";

    Any and all help on this matter is greatly appreciated,
