scroll plane (area) within a web page

    Hi guys,

although im not new to web design or html, one thing i have never done is add a scrollable text area to a web page, (except one in flash). I have a web page, that is meant to sit in the middle of the screen and i dont want text making it bigger, so i want to put it in a scroll area where you can read it and scroll down. Could someone please give me a quick run through of how i go about doing this please
I am using dreamweaver, dont know if it has any shortcuts to doing this, just like flash has drag and drop scroll planes etc.

    Cheers guys

    Ste.

    Hi there harters,

Using 'CSS' you can customize the textarea
    Here is an example...maybe a little O.T.T
    Code:

Customized Textarea

This is a custom made textarea for the eteemed harters

    Hi there neo5550690,

and a warm welcome to these august forums

Put this code within the head tags....
    Code:

    ...adjust colors to suit

Do bear in mind that this is an I.E. feature only.

You will find this MS site very good for ideas in coloring scrollbars...
