    Thumbs up Two more Inline Questions....Hmmm Coothead...can you look at this...please

    H/Lo
    Guys...
    Coothead...
    I found this script on Dynamic Drive.

    <script language="JavaScript1.2">

    //Daily iframe content- Dynamic Drive (www.dynamicdrive.com)
    //For full source code, and Terms Of use, visit http://dynamicdrive.com
    //This credit MUST stay intact for use

    var ie=document.all&&navigator.userAgent.indexOf("Opera")==-1
    var dom=document.getElementById&&navigator.userAgent.indexOf("Opera")==-1

    //Specify IFRAME display attributes
    var iframeprops='width=150 height=150 marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" hspace="0" vspace="0" frameborder="1" scrolling="no"'

    //Specify 7 URLs to display inside iframe, one for each day of week
    var daycontent=new Array()
    daycontent[1]="monday.htm" //Monday content
    daycontent[2]="tuesday.htm" //Tuesday content
    daycontent[3]="wednesday.htm"
    daycontent[4]="thursday.htm"
    daycontent[5]="friday.htm"
    daycontent[6]="saturday.htm"
    daycontent[0]="sunday.htm"

    //No need to edit after here
    if (ie||dom)
    document.write('<iframe id="dynstuff" src="" '+iframeprops+'></iframe>')

    var mydate=new Date()
    var mytoday=mydate.getDay()

    function dayofweek_iframe(){
    if (ie||dom){
    var iframeobj=document.getElementById? document.getElementById("dynstuff") : document.all.dynstuff
    iframeobj.src=daycontent[mytoday]
    }
    }

    window.onload=dayofweek_iframe

    </script>

    Currently it loads a new URL every day for seven days...
    Here is my first Question...
    Is there anyway to make it load two different URLS in the same period...(sequentially) eg on any visit...first www.urlone.html and then www.urltwo.html

    OK here is my second question.
    Is there any way to get a text link to open in an iframe.
    eg. Link1 | Link2 | Link3 | Link4 | Link5|
    (Lined up like that or any other way)
    open pageone.html; page2.html; page3.html, etc in the same iframe.

    Ideally these text links can be anywhere on a page and not necessarily close to the iframe.

    Those are the two questions...
    hmmm....in the second question...that iframe would have to be named right...hmmmmm

    Thanx a bunch in advance...

    Hi there wahid,

    Yes, (see the zipped attachment)...
    this will open one file in the morning and...
    yes, you guessed
    one in the afternoon

    As for the second question I am not quite sure
    what you mean by a text link
    I thought that I had covered multiple links
    to an iframe in a previous post to you
    But then, I can be a bit obtuse at times.

    Re: Two more Inline Questions....Hmmm Coothead...can you look at this...please

    Hey Coothead...That was magnificent....really...and it works like a peach....hmmmm sorry like a bunch of peaches...Thanx man....wow...

    It was an idea...I figured may only work.
    it is things like this that make me want to learn java script(and general scripting) quick quick.

    Do you know what it feels like to know that java and scripting exists and I do not know how to do it...terrible...anyway...I will learn....I am making little progress...

    OK About the text link...
    The script you porvided worked and I am keeping it for an occasion, I know I will use it for.
    But (remember I am a newbie) it is a script that has the iframe very close...even though it can be positioned with the values.

    This one - It would be a single script that I could put any place on the page...not necessarily in relation to the iframe and it would call the next page in that frame.

    Here is a kind of text link
    <A HREF="http://www.nosite.com">
    <SPAN TITLE="tool tip box" litUp1> No Site</SPAN>
    </A>

    that gives you a link with a text that says No Site.

    The iframe script would be like that except that presents a text that one could click on, except that it would bring up all the targeted URLS in the same iframe...no matter which url was in there before.

    Now if I had one such link and could simply change the urls...and place them anywhere...on a page...

    There...I think I have tried to reduce my obtuseness and become accute...LOL...I think I am the obtuse one in not being able to work out the logic in the other script that you gave to figure this myself...

    Thanx again for your invaluable help....
    LOL today is a shaving day....I do it every third day...but you do it daily....are you trying to hide a bald head or grey hair...LOL...

    Thanx Coothead...

    Opening normal text links in an iframe is the same as opening in a normal frame. You have to give the iframe a name ( eg name="myIframe" ) then target your links like this -

    HTML Code:
    <a href="page1.htm" target="myIframe">link</a>
    This sounds like what you need. if I'm wrong, show us some examples. Cheers.

    H/lo QuietDean

    Thanx...that is excisely, prexactly what I wanted...
    Between you and Coothead, I am going to start to learn this scripting in a short enough time.
    excisely, prexactly means precisely and exaxctly.

    BTW...Coothead said he is bald because he shaves his head, I am bald for the same reason...
    I told Coothead that I saw your hair, and I thought you need a shave tooo....

    I also think it is green hair that you have....
    Which one am I correct in and which one I not wrong in...you have to choose one of those categories....promise LOL.
    Here is how you choose your response.
    1. First category - you need a shave.
    Response allowed - (a) I am correct (b) I am not wrong.
    2. Second category - your hair is green.
    Response allowed - (a) I am correct (b) I am not wrong.

    I know one response has to be correct...am I again right or just not wrong....
    Never mind man I am trying to be a joker...hope it is funny and you do not mind....
    Perhaps it is my horse personality...LOL....

    Thanx again.....peace

    Hi there wahid,

    You are certainly testing my limited skills to the limit

    So let me get this right...
    do you now want to use this automatic multiple menu...
    with other links displayed beside the frame
    that will open pages in the same frame...
    and with the ability to return...
    to the page that the twice daily script is displaying ?

    If the answer to this extra long question is yes...
    then I will provide the means...hopefully

    cthead

    Dear Coothead...
    Now that you mention that...yes...I would not be able to think of that option.
    But what I really asked this time was...:
    Where is the name of iframe in the daily script...
    If it this...iframeprops
    Or is it this...dynstuff
    Or are those not names at all.

    QuietDean gave me another code which works perfectly...as well...
    If I use QuietDean's code..(and I definitely will), I will need to target the iframe by name...
    But woe is me...I have not been able to figure the name...to try the script completely...

    Finally...I am sure your skills are better than you are saying...and you can rest assured...I am learning...a little at a time...but they are big steps...
    Soon I will be applying for an expert Job here. LOL...that is only I am qualified to be your and QuietDean's good understudy...

    Thanx again...

    Hi there wahid,

    That is very strange
    You will have to ask QuiteDean ~ Administrator ~
    for possible reasons of why this should happen.
    As I said I only put it in a zip to save space...
    but it looks as though I will have to post it after all.

    Drum rollll....bugle and horns and 21 (anti-aircraft gun salute)
    The script works fine.....but...
    Houston I have a problem...
    See this text link http://www.wearmuslimgear.net/html/test.html

    My problem is I never thought about the menu clearly enough....
    That is where I would like the menu to be situated ideally...
    It serves the purpose fine for the daily iframe features.

    But when I call other pages...I have the menu in the way...
    I have these choices.
    1. call another Iframe from somwehere with the same shell for the other pages...
    2. Retain that special format but Get the menu to disappear when those other pages are called...

    What do you think...
    Thanx again
