Re: Two more Inline Questions....Hmmm Coothead...can you look at this...please

    H/Lo Coothead

I have come up with the final solution and so the final request...since everything is working perfectly...except for my unfortunate positioning.

Here is what the solution is.....
An addition to the current script to call another iframe...
Therefore the current page will always be like that as the index page.
All the links on this page will come up on another frame which does not have a menu down the middle.

So we just make another call to another iframe...from this same script.....
    What do you think....

    Peace

Thumbs up Re: Two more Inline Questions....Hmmm Coothead...can you look at this...please

    Blown away...WOW!!!
I can download it, and have...
Thanx to the moderators...who must have rectified that problem.

I have to use this script, not only because you have put so much work in it...I have done practically nothing..., but because you have been as intuitive as you have been helpful...ao more than that.
    It is great...really...

Have you looked at the default page...please do...
    I am keeping that format.
Secondly I wish to use this script that you have supplied to call all pages...not just some pages as was the idea before...your triple wow...input.

I now need to find a way to integrate it into the software I am using.
Tell me...( I am going to check it)
    1.
Does it ...maintain the format of this first page. with the links down the middle.... http://www.wearmuslimgear.net/html/test.html
That is what I am trying to get.
    2.
Does it call up this (new page that you just provided ) completely with the (capable of ) different links?
Because that is the concept I am trying to get...and explains why I am not sleeping). .

It should maintain that look...of the test page...and when the links on the test page is clicked...
the test page goes away...and the new page comes...that new page(the one you provided with the links) will now be used with its menu on top....to call other pages within its iframe...

I was of the opinion that we will need two iframe names.
One for the index page with the changing urls...and the iframe page that will be called from the index page menu to display the other URLS...

    3.
In short does it do this?

Here is what the solution is.....
An addition to the current script to call another iframe...
Therefore the current page will always be like that as the index page.
All the links on this page will come up on another frame which does not have a menu down the middle.

So we just make another call to another iframe...from this same script.....
    Checking it...will report in awhile...

Need to thank the moderators for having this site...and people like QuietDean and Coothead...
Thanx a bunch guys...I am too impressed with the level of assistance and toleration from your forum...

    Thanx...

Thumbs up Re: Two more Inline Questions....Hmmm Coothead...can you look at this...please

    Hi Coothead...
As said before..the script is great.
I just checked it and integrated it easily.

    Here is what happened...

    Result 1.
The new page popped off the page to the left...
    http://www.wearmuslimgear.net/html/script1.html
It cannot be re-positioned...it just sits there...LOL.

    Questions based on result 1.
    Can it be centred..?
How do I reposition it...perhaps I need (x) to close...because the index page is still there.

    Result 2.
The original menu seen here at http://www.wearmuslimgear.net/html/test.html
down the middle, and which is the option I would like is not in the script...so that menu...was not available.

    Ideally...
We should have this, page's script ....http://www.wearmuslimgear.net/html/test.html
    incorporated with this page's script....http://www.wearmuslimgear.net/html/script1.html

to ensure that we have the first page with the links down the middle on the index page...and the ability to use this menu down the middle on the index page on this script to call this page's script....http://www.wearmuslimgear.net/html/script1.html
with its own and different menu...to call its own pages.

The home link on this page...http://www.wearmuslimgear.net/html/script1.html should (I hope, LOL!!!) take the browser back to the index page...
    3.
    Result 3.
I notice that the index page does not go away...when the new page http://www.wearmuslimgear.net/html/script.html is called from the index page, and so the browser has two pages...if that is the case...we may not need a home link on this page, http://www.wearmuslimgear.net/html/script1.html but the preference is that it should go away...and be able to be called back by the...home link.

OK...so what am I begging you to look at...
    1. Incorporating the two scripts
    2. Make the resulting page be movable...
    3. Make the index menu go away,
    4. make the index menu be able to be re-called by the home link that you provided.
    5. make an option of the script...with the links capable of going to the right or left of the this page, http://www.wearmuslimgear.net/html/script1.html rather than on top

    Number 5. request repeated here...
Could I have an option with the above...but with the links at the right or left, or configurable to where I wish...on this page http://www.wearmuslimgear.net/html/script1.html, rather than at the top?

Did I just comment the script...LOL....
I am sure you know after all this effort...it should be added to an area of this site where you and the others have supplied assistance beyond the call...this script does not belong to Dynamic Drive anymore...

So you give them their credit and take yours...

Gonna stay up until you respond...LOL...or until my eyes give up..., that is what I have been doing for a couple of days now...sleep seems so far off.

I have a funny feeling I missed something...
Should I have just tried to combine both scripts...is that what I should do...

I do remember that you said you had not commented them.....hmmm...
    Trying that.....will see...
Here is the first effort at combining....hmmm...OK dont sue me...still trying....
    Thanx...

Re: Two more Inline Questions....Hmmm Coothead...can you look at this...please

    Hi there wahid,

It is nearly 5am here in the Uk...
and I am just about to go to work.
I can see what the problem is but will
have to look at it on my return. Basically
you are trying to put my page into your page
This will not work. If you are happy with the basic layout
that I have done ...then we must incorporate the features that
were omitted into this design. Hope that makes sense. I forgot
to amend this line last night so that it would put your search
    results in the FRAME!!
    <form action="http://www.wearmuslimgear.net/cgi-sys/entropysearch.cgi" target="myIframe">

    catch you later.

Re: Two more Inline Questions....Hmmm Coothead...can you look at this...please

    Hi there wahid,

It is 12:30pm here in the uk...must be about 6 or 7pm in Singapore ?
I have finished work and am back playing
I've only been doing this computer stuff for about a year...
so like you am still learning it's mysteries. I have found that the best
way to learn is to try and solve problems in forums like this one.
You certainly meet some really knowledgeable Gurus here
and in many other web design forums too.

    Now back to your problem......

I think that the contents of the zip file may have confused you.
In the folder there were three files and a jpg image.
This is what you need to do
    1. Open the main.css file
    2. Insert the correct address for the background image in this line....
      background:url(wearmuslimgeabackground01.jpg)....if it is not local
    3. Close the main.css file
    4. Open the multimenu.js file
    5. Insert the fourteen links into the daycontent[ ]=" " lines
    6. Close the multimenu.js file
    7. Open the test.html file
    8. Insert the twelve links into the <a class="menu" href="page?" target="myIframe">link ?</a> lines
    9. You may remove any unwanted links...those remaining will expand to fill the width of the table
    10. Close the test.html file
    11. Now double click the test.html file and test.
If you are not happy with the table dimensions, background colors, font styles or anything else...
I will let you know how to make the appropriate alterations to the .css file

Re: Two more Inline Questions....Hmmm Coothead...can you look at this...please

    H/Lo Coothead...

Sure it is now 8:00 in Sg.
    Glad you could respond...
You bet I am a little confused...but I did open the css..files of and made some changes...

One problems is I am working with Drag and Drop to learn quickly...and there are only so many insertion points...and of course I am a newbie...

Congratulations on your rapid achivement...that is commendable......
To me it is like magic...
This is the middle of my third month...if I can get to only a tenth of your expertise...in the same time frame I would be happy..

To my problem and your many solutions...LOL.
I will try to follow your instructions...

Please answer my questions in the other post...so I can walk a straight line according to my lesser understanding...
I will try to unconfuse myself...LOL...

I will be in and out...but I will spend more time in than not...now that I have to figure this and you are so willing to help...I am kinda walking slowly, but if I learn something...I do not forget it...and this scripting thing is an exact science...

    Checking stuff now...thanx

    peace

    Hi there wahid,

    Here is WAHID4 .zip...
it is a skeleton web page which can be built up and added to
You should not try to put it inside an existing page. What you
should do is decide how to incorporate other features into it.
Have a look at any of the html files - constructed in 'NotePad' -
and see how simple they look compared to those made with
    'NetObjects Fusion 7 for Windows'
