    Talking Welcome to AHFB

    To open a link in a new window:
    Code:
    <a href="whatever.html" alt="description of the link's purpose" target="_blank">
    As a "serious beginner" you should seriously consider the tutorials here at AHFB, or the ones at W3Schools where there's an excellent reference section. For example, their description of the anchor tag <a> http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_a.asp answers your question.

    As a serious beginner, the best way to learn HTML is to do the actual coding yourself - not through those expensive programs that you don't have much control over. There are thousands of HTML tutorials on the web, and many are here at AHFB200.COM.
