Navigation code....
Hello!
I am currently making a new layout for my art website and everything seems to be going okay, but I wanted to do something a tad different for my navigation. What I want to do...ah, I'm not even sure what it is, honestly. I have seen it before, but I don't know if it is javascript or whatever.... Anway, it is basically like this little table that sits on a side of your page (I would perfer right) and has links for place for you to go. If you click on one link, then the table may stretch down and give you a few more option, so on and so forth. I know I'm not explaining this too well....but here is a little example...
Art Gallery
>>>Self Portraits
>>>Colored Work
>>>Anime
>>>Fanart
>>>Friend's Works
Writing Gallery
>>>Blah
>>>Blah
>>>Blah
About Myself
Links
Something like that, only it collapses so you only see the beginning links (being Art Gallery, Writing Gallery, etc)
Any help is most appreciated, I hope I explained this well enough ^_^.

Hiya, welcome to the forums.
Your description sounds a lot like a 'tree menu'. If so, there is a good example of one here: http://www.treeview.net/treemenu/demos.aspIf one of our members helps you, please click theicon to add to their reputation!

Before you ask, have you Searched?

Ah yes, that is just what I was looking for! I was digging around a bit and found something called 'Applet Glide Navigation Pro' but I am just curious whether or not most browsers would support this or not. I do not have many people view my site, but I want to make sure that it does work for those that do... any ideas?

Ooooh, I want THIS!
Okay...I found something that I want more than anything (this is what I wanted in the first place, but I couldn't find any sites with similar features.)
What I am asking about this time...
1. I really like the navigation....any ideas how to do it?
2. The loading page message is great.. how to do it?
Hope I don't sound naggy, I'm just excited ^____^
*Edit*
Stupid moment, didn't even explain what I wanted...^_^;;
Anyway, what I was talking about was the menu on the left side of the page that holds all of the main links. It stays to the left until you move your mouse over it, which then it expands to show the links.
Sorry about that ^_^Last edited by AllyRene; 01-13-2004 at 04:09 PM.

I'm a little confused about what the "THIS" is that you want.

How about posting a link to what it is that you want to know how to do.

Almost there!
Thank you everyone, I have the navigation almost perfect now... (Though the links are not working yet, of corse ^_^) If you look, my page looks absolutely perfect when looking at it in Netscape, however I have just realized that a small part of it gets squished and all weird on the right side when viewing it with Internet Explorer. Is there any sort of html code to keep it fixed there for IE?
Ugh...so close, yet so far...

Are you talking about the shoutbox and the iframe or the navigation?
