    customizing template to insert flash image

    Hi,

    Am new to CSS and am not sure what to do. I have downloaded a free template which I am cutomizing, as this is easier for me. What I need to do is remove some links etc and replace it with a flash clock.

    The code for the clock is:

    <object classid="clsid: D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
    codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,0,0"
    width="100" height="100" id="mainintro" align="top">
    <param name=movie value="CZclocknukeII.swf">
    <param name=quality value=high>
    <param name=bgcolor value=#000000>
    <param name="menu" value="false">
    <embed src="CZclocknukeII.swf" quality=high bgcolor=#000000 width="760" height="400" align="middle"
    type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" menu="false">
    </embed>
    </object>

    The relevant codes for the links,borders etc is:

    <table border="0" bordercolor="#009900" align="center" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="0" width="150">
    <tr bordercolor="#000000" align="top">
    <td bgcolor="#009900" width="170">
    <center>
    <b><font color="#000000">.: Time :.</font></b>
    </center>
    </td>
    </tr>
    <tr bgcolor="#000000" bordercolor="#999999">
    <td onMouseOver="style.backgroundColor='#333333'" onMouseOut="style.backgroundColor='#000000'" width="0" bgcolor="#000000">
    <div align="center"><a href="http://www.*reeflashintros.com/" class=menu target="_blank"><b>*ree
    Flash Intros</b></a></div>
    </td>
    </tr>
    <tr bgcolor="#000000" bordercolor="#999999">
    <td onMouseOver="style.backgroundColor='#333333'" onMouseOut="style.backgroundColor='#000000'" width="0" bgcolor="#000000">
    <div align="center"><a href="http://www.*reelayouts.com/" class=menu target="_blank"><b>*ree
    Layouts</b></a></div>
    </td>
    </tr>
    <tr bgcolor="#000000" bordercolor="#999999">
    <td onMouseOver="style.backgroundColor='#333333'" onMouseOut="style.backgroundColor='#000000'" width="0" bgcolor="#000000">
    <div align="center"><a href="index.html" class=menu><b>Link
    3</b></a></div>
    </td>
    </tr>
    <tr bgcolor="#000000" bordercolor="#999999">
    <td onMouseOver="style.backgroundColor='#333333'" onMouseOut="style.backgroundColor='#000000'" width="0" bgcolor="#000000">
    <div align="center"><a href="index.html" class=menu><b>Link
    4</b></a></div>
    </td>
    </tr>
    <tr bgcolor="#000000" bordercolor="#999999">
    <td onMouseOver="style.backgroundColor='#333333'" onMouseOut="style.backgroundColor='#000000'" width="0" bgcolor="#000000">
    <div align="center"><a href="index.html" class=menu><b>Link
    5</b></a></div>
    </td>
    </tr>
    <tr bgcolor="#000000" bordercolor="#999999">
    <td onMouseOver="style.backgroundColor='#333333'" onMouseOut="style.backgroundColor='#000000'" width="0" bgcolor="#000000">
    <div align="center"><a href="index.html" class=menu><b>Link
    6</b></a></div>
    </td>
    </tr>
    Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hi wolf,

    Have you tried just pasting the code in and seeing what happens? Don't forget, CSS cannot affect flash at all.

    Yes I did.

    There is a very thin green border around it and when I entered that code, the links did disappear but the flash clock didn't appear, but the v/thin border expanded to about 3-4mm thick !!

    Its so wierd !!

    If it helps, here is the whole file. Btw, yes I am in the process of converting the yellow bits to green LOL

    I'm afraid it isn't online yet, so I have attached a zipped version of the flash clock for you.

    Hi,

    I downloaded both files.

    I randomly pasted the flash code in and it worked fine for me.
    Unless you can provide your code where it isn't working there is not a lot I can do to help

    The area in which I am trying to place the flash clock is the 3rd box in the first column on the left, the one thats currectly named .: Sites To Visit :.

    This will obviously be renamed .: Time :. LOL

    The code for that section is listed on my 1st post (except, the named changed "as above" is done)

    Do you have it online someplace? My time now is pretty limited, but if it is real easy for me to look at I will try to get to it.
