    Show/Hide layers in IE

    Hi all,
    I am trying to hide specific layers using show/hide layers behavior in DW MX when the page is first launched. It works beautifully in Netscape and Safari, but in Internet Explorer, the layers show for a brief moment while the page is loading. It looks sloppy. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance!

    Hi again.

    The problem is that the 'hide' command is in the onload event for the body. This means that it should not perform that function until <body> has finished loading.

    I would say at a guess that Netscape & Safari are actually incorrect in this case. And I hate Internet Explorer

    The best solution would be to have the layers rendered hidden to begin with. I have not tried this, but in theory -

    Code:
    <div id="Layer2" style="position:absolute; left:91px; top:0px; width:67px; height:52px; z-index:2; visibility: hidden;">
    Changing the layers initial style to be hidden like this SHOULD work in all browsers. Please try it and let me know if this works.

    Talking Yeah!

    Hi,
    This works great! Thanks a lot. Looks soooo much better, and my rollovers still work, too!
