    Unhappy Help with bottom bar on websites

    Hello there,
    I must first apologize for my blatant lack of technical terms but I will try my hardest!

    I have created a website for a national schools tour I am organising. I bought the domain name and have created it usuing a host site (I wont mention which one) trouble is while every page on the website is masked as saying the right name, the bottom bar on the web page,i.e.with internet explorer has the e symbol and done or whatever, mine still says my hosts name not the website, which looks really rubbish.

    I have seen on websites that people can change these, sometimes even having scrolling text.
    If you could point me in the right direction it would be appreciated

    sandra x

    Hi,

    add something like this to your body tag;

    <body onLoad="window.defaultStatus='TEXT TO DISPLAY GOES HERE'">

    Take care with quotation marks or it won't work!

    hope this helps

    Thank you so much, that has sorted it out. I only wish I had come here sooner!
