Spam Bots
Hi,
when using a mailto:blah@blah.blah?subject=blah link in a webpage, do spam bots just pick up the email address or do some pick up the subject line also?
I ask this as i'm yet to receive spam with the subject filled as directed by my coding!
Have i just been lucky?
thanks in advance for any info.

Considering the size of the spammers databases and assuming they would want to get rid of what is not needed, I would suspect that the majority of spam bots strip out anything after the "?".

Thanks Dave,
i use Outlook 2002 but know very little of its capabilities. Is it possible to block all email from my domain name using a customised filter unless it has a specified ?subject=blah ?

Cheers Dean i'll take a look at that.
I've just been playing about with Outlook, theres a whole load of stuff in there, i never realised there was so much to it!
..anyway, hopefully this will filter out a fair bit of rubbish, thanks.
