left border background question

What is the html for the backgrounds that scroll with the stationary border at the side?
graphics are separated into corners sides, etc that are on the border...ie flowers and such.

thank you...lynda

Hi Lynda,

if i understand you correctly then what you are after are frames.

Tutorials can be found at http://www.ahfb2000.com/htmlframes.php

If this isn't what you are after then could you please make it a little clearer what it is you want or post a URL example of what it is you mean.

Hi there Lynda,

and a warm welcome to these forums

Unlike 'krak_d' I think that you are looking for a border
that runs down the left hand side of the page as a
background to the contents and is fixed as the page
is scrolled. If so place this code within the head section.....
Code:

you can also do it in shorthand...
Code:

You may find this site - http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp - very helpful for 'css' and this page in particular - http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_background.asp
