    BG Image Issues

    Check this out:

    http://www.leems.com/test/test.html
    There are two problems that I'm trying to resolve, my CSS code is below:

    1. Depending on what browser you're using, the image of the blue leaves isn't lining up with the blue striped background image. The only browser that views them perfectly lined up is Safari. You can see the effect that I'm aiming to acheive--matching up the single leaf image with the repeated BG image--only is this the best way to do it?

    2. I've tried to set the BG image to start 50 px from the left of the page to avoid that area where the BG starts before the leaf image does. You'll notice that its quite obvious that the leaf image starts a few pixels the the right of where the BG image starts. Is there something wrong with my CSS code that is preventing the BG image from shifting to the left?

    My CSS:

    body {background-image: url(../images/bgBlueStripe.gif); background-repeat: repeat-x; background-position: 50px 0;}
    What can anyone suggest?

    Thanks in advance,
    -mike

    Hi userzero,

    you could try absolute positioning.

    HTML Code:
    <img style="position:absolute; top: 96px; left: 0px;" src="images/bgLeaves.gif">
    Hope this helps.
