    End User Site Updates

Hi - I am building a website for a community youth group that I do volunteer work for and as part of the site the users want to have an area on the homepage to display group-related news. They also want the ability to change the news text without having to edit or upload the site. I was thinking that I should be able to have a page somewhere on the site that has a text input box that the user would use to enter their news text and it would replace the text already being displayed. Am I on the right track and if so, is there an easy way to do this? Thanks.

You will need a script to be able to do this, I rec. PHP. Either a news management script or a content management script should get you what you want, though you will have to check out a few. to find exactly what you want.
