Of chiles and enchiladas
Didn't want to clutter up the scumware thread with food. I miss enchiladas, but can't get corn tortillas or masa harina. I make whole wheat puris sometimes and treat them like fried tortillas to make tostadas. The whole family loves 'em. But I think that wheat based flat bread wouldn't have the same flavor or texture in an enchilada type dish.
You said this forum was for life outside of websites, lol.

Thanks Dave, but they'd be in sad shape by the time they made it overseas. At least Doritos made its appearance recently, and I can make a poor imitation of nachos!
I have even stooped to putting burrito filling in pita bread, though making flour tortillas is much more feasible at home than corn tortillas without having any masa harina around.
Okay, back to scumware issues.
