Help with tricky code...
Okay, I was trying to fool around with my livejournal when i came across some code that scared me and I don't understand...
http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=96
there's the faq entry on customizing the thing i want...
Now, I want to change this bit of code...
LASTN_TALK_READLINK<=
<a href="%%urlread%%"><b>%%messagecount%% thought%%mc-plural-s%%</b></a>|
<=LASTN_TALK_READLINK
LASTN_TALK_LINKS<=
If I were to change "thought" to "card recovered" is there any way I can get it so the plural part would read "cards recovered"?
My knowledge of HTML is VERY limited and this is way beyond my usual scope, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

hi Lorelei, Welcome to the forums!
Okay. I looked. I went 'eek!'. I then realised that I did not have a clue what this 'live journal' is!
I did read the FAQ, however.
This bit that says %%mc-plural-s%% is the automatic plural addition, isn't it? So ifthat stays in there, it should work?
Forgive me if I have misunderstood your question, but this is unfamiliar ground for me!
If I am off the track, just post.

That's right, it is an automatic plural addition... for the record, it's used to log number of replies to your entries. The problem is, the way the code is now, it would just tack an "s" onto the end of whatever comes before the %%
Thanks for the welcome, this forum is really coolI'm afraid it's going to motivate me to actually go learn HTML for real now... ohh the humanity!
