If I have added google adsense, can I join another text link affiliate program?

If I read the TOS correctly, you can as long as they don't look like or try to look like the google adsense ads.

Read the TOS yourself thoroughly first though.

One other caveat, you may not use any other contextual advertising on the same page as adsense.

You may however use other contextual advertising as an adsense default but you must be careful with it. If you use more than one adsense ad on a page you should ONLY use a contextual advertiser or google lookalike on the first ad. What would happen if you use it as a default on a second ad is if google shows their regular ad in the first spot and the default advertiser shows up in the second, you have now placed adsense and another contextual advertiser on the same page...against the rules.

your best bet is just to forget google all together and join an affiliate program that is worth your time. People don't realize that google adsense is just YOU hosting people's PPC campaigns and only getting a fraction of the money.

Yeah - be careful - it really is quite easy to get banned from adsense and really difficult to get let back in... I know people who have done this and never been able to get back into it...
If I am honest I think it can also put people off using your site - if you hit them with loads and loads of ads I think it's offputting as people dont know where to click and the homepage loogs like on big advertisament.... Thats my opinion - what do you think?
