    Problems with tables

I have a table of this form:

    ----------------------
    |` ` ` ` ` ` ` | ` ` ` |
    |` ` ` ` ` ` ` | ` ` ` |
    |` ` ` 1 ` ` ` | ` 2 ` |
    |` ` ` ` ` ` ` | ` ` ` |
    |` ` ` ` ` ` ` | ` ` ` |
    ----------------------
    |` ` ` ` ` 3 ` ` ` ` ` |
    ----------------------

The cells 1 and 2 have specified width. If I write more than 100 characters in the 3rd cells, the withd of the 2nd cell is modified. Can you tell me why is the width of the 2nd cell modified? How I can fix my problem?

A column width defines a minimum, not a maximum width. If your content grows beyond the table, the table will expand.

So make sure your content has spaces in it, it should wrap naturally.
