    haha alright

    <table bgcolor="white" width="75%" align="center">
    <tr>
    <td>
    hello
    </td>
    hello
    </td>
    </tr>
    </table>

    I meant how do I make a table with all those attributes? I can make a regular table but how do I put tables inside of tables using css? and how would I align a table? know what I mean now? if I wanna create a page solely on CSS, I need to learn how to make multipe tables inside of each other, stuff like that, and the
    <br>
    tag, I use that tag alot. I'm not going to soley convert to CSS, but I just wanna know how

    I think I see where you are coming from.
    You want to stop using tables and whatnot for layout, and start using CSS instead?

    Good man!

    Think of the oh-so-traditional three column layout. A big argument for the people who refuse to use CSS has always been 'well, can you do a three column page layout with css? no? Ill carry on with my html then...'

    But with the advent of browsers that actually conform to standards we can now do this.

    Heres a superb layout tutorial, with examples.

    Have a look over that...

    eek

    After re-reading, I mat have missed some points..

    <br> is a <br> tag wherever you go. Just use it, nothing special about it.

    table within a table -

    <table>
    <tr>
    <td>
    <table>
    <tr>
    <td>Hello</td><td>world</td>
    </tr>
    </table>
    </td>
    </tr>
    </table>

    I got a question...if I soley convert to CSS isn't that stylesheet pretty big? How long does it take to download?

    alrighty I'll use continue to use the <br> tag anywhere

    heh... u wish ;)

    Imagine...a 2k stylesheet or 10k of table tags. Which is quicker?

    A table within a table...

    the table tag is a html tag. The table itself is structure, pure html. A table within a table is nested html. CSS does not come into it at all...

    You can add styles to the table tags...but thats about it.

    Good thing is...with good css you no longer need to nest tables. Cool.

    wow

    this table stuff in CSS is pretty complicated I'm gonna try a bit longer but if I don't start to get it be prepared for some questions the basic layout is easy but there are some things I'm tryin to do (like change colors for a head in the middle of the left menu like the left panel on daves site, just for an example) that I'm havin trouble doin.

    One of the rules of Spaceports, is that you cannot link directly to the cgi account, except from the original acct. So the only URL you should give out is to your original html acct. From there you can use a meta redirect.
