Ping in Html?
I'm wondering if this is possible?
I want my normal background picture, but I want a small area to display an icon to see if my servers / network equipment is up. I don't want to have to run a seperate monitoring progam, just use some html page as my background that shows an up or down icon using ping. Nothing special, I just can't find the code. Surely someone knows what the code is.
Thanks in Advance

Hi, welcome to the forum.
Its possible, just not with 'plain' html. You will have to use a server-side language like PHP or Perl.
Heres loads of PHP network tools.

Most will come with very simple instructions, I would download something like php-ping and give it a go.
