You don't know how to write the function (its alright not knowing) if so have i posted in the right place to possibly receive help from some one on this forum or do i need to repost this requet else where. Please advise

What you could do is have the function submit a form field, and let a server-side language save the file.

thank you very much for your help
so if i have a cgi program that post to a panel on a web page
i could use this program to create that post
i hope I have it correct now my appol to dave its just I do like
consise answers (spent too many years with users) sorry if
i sounded (lol) over the top will look at getting it to work that
way also thanks for the info on my other post dean On reading a dir in cgi works great.
