    Ftp?

I'm lookin for a good FTP program, preferrably for free. I've heard of the power of FTP and wanna see what it's all about. I'd prefer a graphic-based system, something visual, and easy, but powerful, and free . Any suggestions?

don't know what you mean by "graphics based" but this is a good free one(ws_ftp):

    I use ws_ftp le... great!

    Tried cuteFTP, that was horrible..

Also, sometimes i use my browser, don't know if anyone is against that, but i think it's the easiest method:

    ftp://usernameassword@yoursite.com

I don't suggest this on a public machine though

I use SmartFTP only because it was the first free one I could find. I'm satisified cause I don't use it for much anyways.

    hmm..sounds good.

I just use notepad for everything that deals with html, and everythign else for that matter. Anyways it's up to you I"m sure they're are pretty good free html editors out there but if you have the money...why not

    html editor

I've tried a number of HTML editors. SpiderWriter was one of my favorites. An in-program, split-screen, web browser allows you to not have to have IE running also. A toolbar showing your folder and file locations helps greatly. Even has a syntax check, which helped me out a lot. But, it is a 30 use trial. Now i use Allaire HomeSite, which just rules. It shoulda costed me money, but my friend has connections.
