    HTML Frame Help needed

For several years I have run my own personal website with a single page display but now I want to create frames: a short narrow one across the top for a standard greeting; a long narrow one down the left side for links, and the big one on the right side for the content from those links. Since I am a newbie to frames I am not sure what to do. At this point I think the narrow frame down the left side will actually be my index.html page (considerably modified), the narrow frame across the top might be called page 2.html and the big frame on the right side might be called page 3.html but how do I like page 2.html to the index.html page and vice versa. A little help with the coding of this would be greatly appreciated or if you could refer me to a site that contains it, that would be great. Thanks.
