Do only "AHFB2000 All Stars" get sigs?
What is the deal with the signatures here? Is there a post limit before you get one, or do you manually allow them to certain users. Just currious b/c I hate typing in my name at the bottom and love plugging my site.
Thanks

no, you have to get 60 posts...
once you get to 60 you get a bunch of stuff

I am not an allstar but I get sigs
Currently it is 20 posts to signatures, it is always subject to change depending on circumstances.
I see you now have 21 posts

So what are the other levels besides the 20 posts milestone, and what new stuff do you get at each new milestone?

Re: Do only "AHFB2000 All Stars" get sigs?
It really is not much more than sigs and increased pm storage, a couple other little things that the majority could care less about.
I may have to see if I can put together some freebies for most helpful members. If nothing else I could offer free domain names, but I think I could probably put together some annual hosting packages, paid scripts or logos to go with it.
The only downfall is the difficulty in getting members that actually spend the time helping others. Most folks find us when they need us, this means they get what they need and have to rush off and put the info to use.
I can not really promise anything but if I see things start to improve in the above area I will jump in with both feet and try to keep the motivation high

Re: Do only "AHFB2000 All Stars" get sigs?
Just like any other forum, there will always be the few that abuse things. At the time that it was set to 60 we had a rush of idiots trying to take advantage of things, after it slowed I lowered the limit.
In all honesty, I would love to do away with sigs completely but it would be the ones that deserve the links that would suffer.

Re: Do only "AHFB2000 All Stars" get sigs?
I guess it all depends on just how many links anyone would want to put in their signature. If they want to advertise a single website, they already have capability of doing that by putting the link to it in their public profile. Maybe not everyone looks at that stuff, but I do.

You should see an Edit Signature option. It's the second option down the list.

Re: Do only "AHFB2000 All Stars" get sigs?
the reason i put my site in my sig, is because it will help a little in search engine PR.
the more links you have on one site with a pr the better your pr will be... or that is what i read, but it is always better to have links from different pages all over the net, rather than just one!
