    PHP/MySQL pros

I know you folks can answer just about any question thrown at ya so here goes.

Actually it is fairly cut and dry, on the website I am doing for Special Olympics I have only 1 database. I am going to be setting up a vbulletin, but I also wanted to set up a calendar which uses a mySQL backend.

Can you run more than 1 script from the same database?

Yup. As long as the table names do not conflict, you can run as many things as you like.

I have 3 sites, all with separate news, and a phpbb2 board running from the same db.

That is what I thought but did not want to chance it without knowing for sure.

After looking at the calendar that comes with Vbulletin, I decided to use it. Modifying it to my specific needs has not been too bad...yet

    Both reasons, and many more...

When you work for a Web Development company, as there only programmer, it's a good idea to know alot of languages, so they won't have to turn clients down.

Another reason, is some personal thoughts of my own.

The more languages that I know, the more I can do for clients. Which then means, I will have a better portfolio, be worth more, and it just goes from there....
